Illustrations of New Zealand Native Birds
After moving to New Zealand in 2014 I have fallen in love with the natural beauty of this country.
I have developed a huge amount of respect for the native wildlife and the challenges they face. For this reason I have created a collection of illustrations that feature native birds infused with elements of Kiwiana life style to give them personality that will resonate with anyone familiar with the Kiwi spirit.

The illustrations were all drawn on an iPad Pro using Adobe Sketch for the initial concept and finished artwork with Adobe Draw. The phrases in the background are created using Adobe Spark for the lettering layout with the texture coming from photos of New Zealand bush I have taken on my phone and then run through Adobe Capture. This means the all the finished artwork is in vector format and purposely created using three colours with the possibility of one day screen printing.
